2nd Screen Companion App for Content Discovery and Remote Control

Currently Vestel is developing a growing range of hybrid TV/STB devices (DVB and IP). Due to the cumbersome navigation of connected devices with a traditional remote control, Vestel was following the market trend to make the devices remote controllable with mobile companion devices.

In order to offer a complete solution for Vestels clients, 3SS designed, developed and integrated a tablet app that served as a remote control but at the same time was a content discovery device as well as a consuming device for the transcoded linear TV signal within the inhome Wifi.
